About the Role
This role will see the successful candidate:
- focused on providing primary healthcare services to the local community and residents of aged care facilities (RACF)
- provide primary care services which includes:
- taking medical history
- undertaking clinical examination
- arranging any necessary investigations
- implementing a management plan
- providing appropriate preventive health care
- conduct regular reviews and follow ups with aged care residents.
- manage chronic conditions with a holistic approach, working with patients to monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed
- contribute to comprehensive health assessments and medication management and annual reviews
- review multidisciplinary care plans and participate in case conferences when needed
- collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff, to provide comprehensive care
- maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records in compliance with medical standards and regulations
- participate in practice development and quality improvement initiatives
- contribute to a positive, supportive work environment that prioritises patient-centred care and team cohesion
What is on offer?
- Remuneration of 70% of gross billings with potential earnings ranging from $270,000 per annum depending on patient load and hours worked.
- 1 year of full time work commitment at one of our medical centres in the Shoalhaven NSW region bordered by mountains, coastal waters and magnificent beaches. Once you have completed your 1 year (including 6 month of workplace-based assessment) , you have the option to continue working for the company outside of the Shoalhaven region (including in metropolitan locations such as Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide) whilst completing the remainder of their moratorium.
The successful candidate
- is eligible for AHPRA registration or currently AHPRA registered under the Expedited Specialist Pathway. To be eligible for specialist registration under the Expedited Specialist Pathway:
- You must have attained your Fellowship of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP).
- Your qualification has been awarded under any RNZCGP curriculum from 2012 following satisfactory completion of the General Practice Education Programme (GPEP).
- You must provide a letter from RNZCGP confirming that fellowship was awarded under any RNZCGP curriculum from 2012 following satisfactory completion of the General Practice Education Programme (GPEP).
- is permitted to work in Australia – we will provide sponsorship to the successful candidate and cover the cost of visa application including relocation cost.
- must have their own professional indemnity insurance.
- has a great attitude and able to work under the guidance of our senior medical practitioners.
- has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
