If you’re a skilled carpenter who loves seeing a project come together from the ground up, we have a spot for you. Coffrages Synergy is looking for 14 reliable, hardworking carpenters to join our team out in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
We need people who are great team players and ready to jump right into busy construction sites. It’s hard, physically demanding work, and you’ll be outdoors in the elements (expect some dust, noise, and working at heights), but you’ll be working with a solid crew and earning great money with plenty of hours.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: You’ve been in the trade for at least 1 to 2 years.
- Skills: You know your way around hand tools, can read blueprints/sketches, handle layouts according to code, and can work with wood, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Leadership: Since we have a big team, we need people who can help supervise workers, guide apprentices, and keep the site moving safely.
- Language: You can communicate comfortably in either English or French.
- Logistics: This is fully on-site in Halifax. You’ll also need to pass a standard criminal record check.
- Education: No formal degrees or diplomas required—your experience and work ethic are what matter to us.
What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day
You’ll be involved in the core of our construction projects. A typical week involves:
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and framing (foundations, floor beams, walls, and roof systems).
- Surveying building locations and levels to make sure everything is perfectly aligned.
- Scheduling and coordinating daily tasks on-site.
- Handling occasional maintenance, repairs, or renovations on various structures.
