- Competitive pay: $27.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
1. Coffee & Beverage Operations
- Lead the daily coffee service, ensuring high-quality and consistency in every cup.
- Maintain a high standard of coffee preparation, including dial-ins, milk texturing, and espresso extraction.
- Experiment with and introduce new beverage options to enhance the café’s offerings.
- Monitor stock levels, manage orders, and ensure the freshness of related supplies.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and coordinate servicing or maintenance as needed.
2. Team Leadership & Training
- Train and mentor baristas to uphold exceptional coffee-making standards.
- Provide ongoing coaching in workflow efficiency, latte art, and customer interaction.
- Foster a positive and energetic team environment, encouraging development and teamwork.
- Assist in scheduling and roster management to ensure smooth daily operations.
3. Customer Service & Guest Experience
- Engage with customers to enhance their coffee experience, offering recommendations and education.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints regarding coffee quality or service.
- Maintain a welcoming and friendly café atmosphere that aligns with our brand.
4. Operational & Financial Management
- Oversee daily barista operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high efficiency.
- Perform all POS duties, handle financial transactions, and ensure cash-up accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the barista area.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage purchasing within budget.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven barista experience (minimum 1 year) in a specialty coffee environment or NZ Register Level 2 or 3 qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 4).
- Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, milk texturing, and equipment maintenance.
- A passion for coffee education and training, with leadership experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage with guests.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Experience with financial transactions, stock control, and ordering supplies.
- NZ Register Level 2 or 3 qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 4).
