The Women’s & Children’s Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA’s largest maternity and obstetric service.
Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.
The Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) is a free statewide service that supports parents and families of children from birth to five years of age, who live across metropolitan, regional and rural areas in South Australia.
With over 100 clinics across South Australia, CaFHS helps parents and families to understand their child’s health, development, and wellbeing needs, which can include breastfeeding, sleeping, settling, introducing solids, parenting and play and development. Each year, CaFHS provides over 75,000 family consultations via in clinic or at home appointments, telehealth (phone) or virtually.

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists within CaFHS – Berri to join us as Associate Nurse Unit Manager (RN2A).
Key Requirements:

  • Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing care to clients in a defined team
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant nursing practice area.

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience or current classification as a Clinical Nurse.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, standards, codes, ethics, and competency standards.
  • Familiarity with Quality Improvement Systems in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of contemporary nursing/midwifery and healthcare issues.
