Job Description

• Take orders and serve food and beverages to patrons at tables in dining establishment.
• Check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take actions to correct any problems.
• Collect payment from customers.
• Write patrons food orders on order slips; memorize orders, or entire orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
• Prepare checks that itemize meal costs and sales taxes.
• Take orders from patrons for food or beverages.
• Check patrons identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Serve food and beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
• Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
• Clean tables or counters after patrons have finished dining.
• Prepare hot, cold and mixed drinks for patrons, and chill bottles of wine.
• Shifts vary and range from 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM. (Will work weekends, holidays, split, and rotate shifts.) Please note: Under the anticipated days and hours of work per week, we entered 7 hours per day because our business is open 7 days a week. But a worker will not work everyday. A worker will work 35 hours per week and will work weekends, split, and rotate shifts.
