Events ACT has an opportunity available to join the Commercial and Procurement team in the role of Senior Sponsorship Delivery Officer.
You will play a leading role to deliver and execute high quality activations for our sponsors during major events.
The role entails delivering on the contractual arrangement for onsite activations for sponsors – the successful applicant will require demonstrated experience delivering major outdoor and community events, project management skills, operational planning and excellent communication skills.
Your ability to hit the ground running and effectively manage your time will be a key asset in this role as you work closely with sponsors, commercial partners and internal stakeholders to support the delivery of contractual obligations across multiple projects at a time.
You will establish relationships with industry, stakeholders and partners and have a strong understanding of the Canberra events industry needs as well as the ability to identify and deliver sponsorship activations that align with the strategic goals of our events.
The successful candidate will be passionate about Canberra and its events offering and demonstrate a strong ability to deliver sponsorship activations within the operational environment.
You will need strong customer service skills when liaising with sponsors, partners and members of the public during events.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
- Experience managing sponsorship and commercial opportunities for events from an ACT Government context is highly desirable.
Notes:
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
