What you’ll do

The Network engineer for Cytiva’s new plant in Muskegon will be reporting to the IT Manager on site. The Network Engineer will maintain and develop IT and OT Network services on site which includes but is not limited to campus manufacturing and lab environments with high availability requirements.

The Network engineer will be part of a local IT team on site but will also work closely with our global teams and our site in Uppsala – Sweden which have the same set of services. A majority of the work requires being present at the site.

During the initial phase of the employment, you will have a part time-assignment to the project and be part of implementing the IT services on the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Service usability and availability, monitoring, proactive maintenance, incident and problem handling, administration, and documentation.
  • Second line network support.
  • Incident and problem management work, lead dialogue with reporting business unit, global IT, suppliers, and service providers.
  • When applicable, represent network operations and work with application teams and projects.
  • Collaborate and communicate with vendors, partners, and suppliers.
  • Work with our business units to map business needs into the right network solution.
  • Give technical advice/input to yearly plans and long-term strategies.
  • Perform changes according to change control; GxP and non-GxP environments.
  • Assignment and participation in IT and OT projects.
  • Lead, administer, implement, test and document implementation of network changes.
  • Interact with global IT teams and colleagues on site in Uppsala- Sweden.

Who you are

  • Extensive experience as a Network Engineer/Specialist; managing Cisco solutions, working in a secure, segmented, and high-availability environment.
  • Competence on the complete network infrastructure, including firewalls, WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi. and Core Networks.
  • ITIL experience.
  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems.
  • Good cyber-security awareness and experience managing cyber-security tools for the Network services.

Desired

  • Experience providing services in pharmaceutical, manufacturing and laboratory environments.
  • Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP certification.
  • Experience managing Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Design and architectural experiences, developing and delivering new and extended services.
  • Managing and developing both IT and OT Networks.
  • Good understanding of automation, DCS solutions.
  • Technical certifications.
