Full job description

• An outgoing and friendly personality with lots of energy and enthusiasm.
• Be honest and reliable and be available to work rostered shifts including day,evening and weekend shifts plus working on statutory holidays.
• Strictly a non Smoker
  

Duties:

• Able to cook a 5 dish vegetarian authentic Indian menu for a minimum of1200 people on Thursday evenings.
• Able to cook most Indian sweets and Savouries
• Ensure that recipes and proportions are strictly achieved to, to ensure
• consistency, quality and cost control.
• Perform all food preparation tasks in the kitchen.
• Follow set policies to maintain standards for food safety in all food
• preparation areas.
• Follow set policies to maintain standards for health & safety at work in all
• food preparation areas.
• Ensure all equipment and work environments are operational.
• Inform the designated management if any hazards are identified that may
• affect work conditions.
• If requested, order and maintain inventory to ensure efficient operations.
• Communicate with and support staff.
• Maintain cleaning checklists and high levels of cleanliness at all times.
• Ensuring kitchen equipment are in proper working condition.
• Keep the kitchen clean and tidy.
• Conduct regular stock checks/stock-takes
• Assisting with menu planning.
• Such other duties are assigned from time to time.
• Presenting or packaging food products
• Ensuring utensils are kept clean
• Uphold morale in the kitchen.
• Maintain a positive relationship between kitchen and administrative staff.
• Attend all kitchen and administrative meetings as required.
