Job Position: ICT Technician Job in New Zealand – Visa Sponsorship Available.
Salary: $29.66 – $32.00 per hour.
Location: Western Bay Of Plenty, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

Fulltime ICT Technician required to maintain, support, and develop systems for a busy horticultural business. 

We are a horticultural company that has recently made the transition to fulltime digital recording of all work within our company. In light of this, we require a fulltime support technician to administer, develop and maintain our systems.

This will involve ensuring that systems are maintained to the required level, providing training to staff, troubleshooting problems if/when they arise, repairing technology or sourcing appropriate replacements. Report back to management on the operation of the systems and work to develop any appropriate updates.

The ideal candidate will either have sufficient relevant experience (3 years) OR a NZQA equivalent Diploma in Computing, Data Systems, ICT etc. Ideally, we would like our candidate to be in New Zealand (we can provide visa sponsorship if required to the right applicant). 

Job Description

  • Diagnosing hardware, software and configuration issues in equipment’s networks, peripherals and taking necessary steps to resolve these problems.
  • Run tests on company technology/equipment to ensure ongoing functionality.
  • Repairing tablets, laptops, desktop & smart devices as required or sourcing replacements if necessary.
  • Exhibit good communication skills
  • Design and administer databases as required for use within the company to allow for seamless operations, ensuring full picture of services/performances are provided.
  • Provide in-house technical services, as required
  • Maintain an updated knowledge of competitors’ services and products and respond to other staff members’ queries.
  • Managing data subscriptions as required
  • Providing ongoing training and support for use of company systems with other team members.
  • Review security features of company devices in light of the specific risks and needs associated with use of the device, advise management of potential weaknesses in existing security systems and how to enhance security features.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding PC, mobile and/ hardware problems and provide solutions accordingly.

This is a full-time position from our Te Puke office, requiring the successful applicant to work a minimum of 30 hours per week between the hours of Monday – Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm.

Pay is based on experience, starting at $29.66 – $32.00 per hour.
