About Us:
Morayfield State High School is a large, complex secondary school with a population of 1650 students from Years 7 to 12 and an ICSEA of 946. The school population includes many students with a strong cultural identity as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and 20% of students have been identified through the NCCD process as requiring additional support or intervention to achieve.

About the Role:
The Head of Department – Student Engagement (Well-Being) will support staff in implementing shared processes for student management aligned to the school’s Code of Conduct. They will contribute to the development of a culture that promotes a supportive and disciplined learning environment.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Actively participate in and deliver ongoing professional development in behavioural and relational pedagogies.
  • Actively analyse student data and implement processes related to internal retrieval, class meetings, case management, student suspension, re-entry meetings, restorative conversations and the development of individual behaviour contracts and support plans for students – including access to internal and external supports.
  • Support year level coordinator roles and capacity building.
  • Support in the behaviour management of a year level.
