Assistant Accounting Manager Job Details:

Berkheimer Business Services provides financial, accounting, compliance auditing, planning and analysis to our internal customers. We are currently seeking a well-organized, focus-driven individual to join our team as an Assistant Accounting Manager in our Pen Argyl, PA office!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Assistant Accounting Manager will assist in the supervision and development of staff, as well as the management of the operational activities of the Accounting Services team. They will participate in the planning and development of systems and procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the team. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Guide/train staff members on proper procedures, monitor employee performance, and provide feedback as necessary in order to achieve optimum performance.
  • Monitor and analyze daily workflows, business processes, and problems, to develop and implement solutions that enhance quality and efficiencies.
  • Coordinate staff in the development, analysis, and preparation of reports, and documentation of procedures.
  • Ensure the team is meeting all client deadlines in a professional and timely manner.

LOCATION + SCHEDULE

  • On-site in our Pen Argyl, PA office
  • Full-time Schedule
  • Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM

  • Salary: $58k – 66k, commensurate with experience

  • Bachelor’s (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting, Business Administration is desired or equivalent from four-year College or technical school.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use logical and critical thinking skills
  • A working knowledge of QuickBooks or a comparable accounting system is desired
