POSITION SUMMARY:

Bron is looking to add a highly qualified Accounting Clerk to support the daily operations of the Accounting Team. The Accounting Clerk works to improve efficiency and maximize the profitability of the organization. This position is responsible for processing a portion of client accounts payable & receivable functions which include preparing daily invoices to the clients and all the necessary updates through the process and completing all tasks necessary. These functions are critical to ensure the company has an accurate understanding of the financial position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts Payable

  • Add new vendors to Sage
  • Respond to vendor emails
  • Obtain management approval for vendor invoices prior to payment
  • Enter all incoming vendor invoices to Sage
  • Contact vendors to obtain invoices if not received
  • Pay and load postage machines
  • Research and payment discrepancies
  • Extract monthly vendor invoices from vendor portals
  • Other tasks and functions to be determined

Accounts Receivable

  • Receive incoming checks
  • ACH payment posting
  • Manual invoice payment posting
  • Iclear payment posting
  • Receive payments to Sage
  • Submission process for clients
  • Denied expense Item reports
  • Blocked expense reports
  • Invoice Deadline Pending
  • Check Runs
  • Deposits

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Experience with Accounting Software: Sage Intacct specifically preferred.
  • Willingness to learn Bron’s business, not just the accounting aspects.
  • Proven accounts payable & receivable and general accounting experience
  • Familiarity with

and basic accounting procedures * B.A or B.S in Business or Accounting preferred but strong experience may be sufficient.

  • Mortgage Services Industry experience preferred but not also required.
  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills (i.e., the ability to effectively communicate and respond to upper management, outside CPAs, and other Accounting Department members)
  • Demonstrates time management skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects as well complete assigned daily functions.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Creativity, drive, and the willingness to take ownership of various tasks and responsibilities.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, incl: Word/Excel [including VLOOKUP & pivot tables]
