ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The Accounting Manager protects the assets of the company by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls, policies and procedures. The Accounting Manager supervises the accounting team and supports the CFO, especially with month-end close and financial planning and analysis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist CFO in managing the day-to-day operations within the Finance Department, including revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory management, treasury management, procurement, and general ledger accounting.
  • Utilize general accounting principles for recoding and analyzing income and expenditures, preparing/posting journal entries, inventory reconciliation, reconciling all balance sheet accounts, bank reconciliations, and analyzing company financial activities, and timely filing of tax returns.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, the year end audit, annual corporate budget, annual inventory count, and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements; provide recommendation based on data.
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including variance analysis.
  • Administers and complies with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Assist in Budget preparation by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, recommending adjustments to department budget submissions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of personnel, financial, proprietary information, and Company operations.
  • Collaborate with other staff and corporate leadership to support and maximize CHP’s overall profitable growth.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Assign projects and direct

to ensure compliance and accuracy * Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

  • Identify discrepancies in financial statements/provide solutions
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position supervises the Finance team.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent years of experience as Accounting Manager,

or Finance Manager * 5-7 years progressive experience in senior accounting role required.

  • 5 years experience in healthcare strongly preferred.
  • Detail and quality oriented with an extremely high level of accuracy.
  • Team player, flexible, collaborative, optimistic, cooperative.
  • Experience working with multi entity organization preferred
  • Experience with consolidated financial statement preferred
  • Experience with Great Plains preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of all aspects of accounting ability to deal with complex accounting issues.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Strong management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Self-Motivated with a desire to excel in a fast paced goal driven work environment.
  • Project and time management skills with demonstrated ability to reliably meet deadlines.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills in English.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
