Our iconic European style bakery and café has been waking up the main street with the smell of fresh croissants and coffee since the 1960’s.

We are now looking for 3 motivated and committed Waiter-Supervisors to join our team. We have a great team and a motivating working environment. Our staff turnover is low, because many of our staff like to stay with us long term!

The right person for this Waiter (Supervisor) position is:

· A team leader that is highly motivated and customer focused.

· An excellent communicator.

· A strong understanding of the hospitality business.

· AQF or equivalent Certificate II or III in Hospitality, or have full time previous experience in a similar leadership role for a minimum of 1 year as a substitute for the formal qualification.

The main duties for this Waiter (Supervisor) role are:

· Ensuring the café is operated in compliance with all relevant legislation including employment, work safe and liquor licencing.

· Stock control.

· Creating and adjusting rosters.

· Supervising the services of food and beverages.

· Creating daily timesheets.

· Taking payments, operating point of sales machines and balancing cash registers.

· Answering the phone.

· Supervise, train, mentor and coordinate food and beverage staff.

· Liaising with head chef for seasonal menu changes and specials.

· Ensuring customers are served in a professional and timely manner.

· Educating staff on menu products.

· Patron care and management and conflict resolution where required.

And general waiting duties as required such as:

· Greeting guests, giving them water and food and drinks menus.

· Setting tables.

· Serving food and drinks; may make recommendations.

· Taking orders and passing them on to kitchen and bar.

· Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to kitchen, removing empty bottles and glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses

· Opening bottles and pouring beverages.

· Keeping the cafe clean.

· Practicing the correct workplace health and safety procedures.
