Are you an experienced truck mechanic with a Class 2 license and a passion for keeping vehicles in top shape? We’re looking for a Truck Mechanic/Driver to join our team at Beds4u! This full-time role involves maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks while ensuring safe and timely deliveries across New Zealand.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, maintain, and repair delivery trucks, ensuring they are roadworthy and meet safety standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure vehicle safety.
• Drive Class 2 trucks to deliver furniture and beds to customers across New Zealand.
• Plan and manage delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
• Assist the Distribution Centre (DC) team with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring items are securely packed and handled with care.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and delivery logs.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a truck mechanic and/or heavy vehicle technician.
• A full, clean Class 2 driver’s license.
• At least 1 year of truck driving experience.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Awareness of road safety regulations and compliance.
• A customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when required.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Class 2 driver’s license with a clean record.
• Must currently reside in New Zealand.
• Visa sponsorship and support for eligible candidates.
