About the Roles
This is an exciting opportunity for two senior marketing leaders to join the team. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of university-wide integrated marketing communications strategies and programs that engage alumni, donors, and research and industry audiences to drive global reputation, advocacy, acquisition and retention outcomes. Alumni & Donors specific: You will work closely with the Advancement team to cultivate deeper alumni connections and drive fundraising success. You’ll oversee the design and delivery of integrated programs to uplift the experience of our alumni and donors and shape the future of engagement and fundraising.

Reseach & Industry specific: You will lead the delivery of university-wide awareness and acquisition campaigns aimed at showcasing the institution’s leadership in research, as well as forging new partnerships with leading organisations and researchers in Australia and globally. You’ll oversee the design and delivery of marketing communications initiatives to drive research income and partnerships acquisition targets, and the recruitment of graduate researchers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop segment marketing and communications programs across all channels, from ideation and conceptualisation to delivery and performance analysis
  • Partner with leaders across the University on program delivery, operational planning and reporting to foster a collaborative and effective approach
  • Oversee the successful development and amplification of targeted content and engagement strategies that enhance the University’s brand
  • Lead a collaborative and accountable work environment within the team to deliver marketing excellence and best practice outputs

Who we are looking for
We’re looking for leaders with strong digital marketing and acquisition expertise who can deliver with independence in an ambiguous, rapidly changing operating environment. You will have an excellent track record in executing complex projects and strong ability in influencing and leading others.

You will also have:

  • Extensive work experience and tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, finance, business or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
  • Marketing experience in a similar role within a large complex environment, developing and implementing strategic marketing communications programs to effectively engage audiences
  • Relationship management experience and expertise, and ability to work with senior executives
  • Ability to work to a high ethical standard, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality at all times
