About the Role

The Ideal Teacher

We are seeking teachers who are student-focused, have high expectations and believe that every child should be set up for success. The successful applicant will work in supportive teams incorporating a strong school curriculum focus.

The successful applicant will ideally possess a strong knowledge of all key elements of Primary pedagogy and curriculum, as well as an ability to inspire students to develop a passion for learning in a vibrant, engaging, and supportive classroom.

South Kalgoorlie teachers are conscientious, flexible, and innovative. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external networks to establish strong community partnerships are integral to our school.

Programs used across the school include Talk for Writing, Seven Steps, Letters and Sounds, Top Ten Maths, MultiLit, Brightpath and Ed Companion. Experience using these programs would be ideal but not essential.
