The result is a work and community experience you won’t find anywhere else. This position is based out of our Oakville, Ontario offices.Main Accountabilities
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential contractors and suppliers, especially Inuit-owned firms, for the Project.
- Assist in the preparation and issuance of Request for Proposal documents and evaluation of bids.
- Support the negotiation and award of contracts and service agreements, ensuring compliance with the company’s HSEC (health, safety, and environmental compliance) standards and the Mary River Inuit Impact and Benefits Agreement (IIBA).
- Draft meeting agendas and minutes for weekly project procurement coordination sessions. Develop and maintain action items register for tracking, follow-up, and completion of deliverables by project stakeholders.
- Contribute to project procurement planning by entering data into a scheduling system. Integrate relevant updates into contract packages and adapt their timelines as necessary in consultation with contract owners.
- Monitor and track the performance and progress of contractors and suppliers, and report any issues or deviations, including within the framework of IIBA requirements and expectations.
- Maintain and update contract documentation and records, including using an ERP system (SAP).

Main Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Previous experience or interest in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiar with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural and remote team environment
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Flexible and adaptable to changing and challenging work conditions, such as working in a northern and remote location
- Knowledge of or interest in the mining industry
