About us:

HITH client care is provided in the convenience of their residence/community setting or at a HITH community clinic (when appropriate) in line with best practice guidelines and patient flow pathways. An interdisciplinary team of health professionals assess, plan and deliver care to meet the needs of the client and refer to other services post discharge as required similar to a hospital unit.

About the role:

The unit supports the hospital activity through integrated and contemporary models of care for sub-acute, non-acute, hospital avoidance, hospital substitution, pre and post discharge/transition planning services for clients with chronic, rehabilitative and ageing related care health needs.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Mandatory qualification/s: MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
  • Demonstrated competence in clinical problem solving at an advanced level care and patient safety within the acute, ambulatory, and specialised service setting, including breadth of knowledge and skill to take responsibility for safe clinical decisions.
  • Well-developed ability to direct the process of assessment, admission, ongoing care, transfer, and discharge of patients.
  • Demonstrates evidence which fosters the reputation of the CQHHS; takes ownership and personal accountability; for the standard of care for the Offenders of the Capricornia Offender Health Service and demonstrates a commitment to and pride in the services delivered at Capricornia Correctional Centre.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively and provide medical care in a multidisciplinary environment.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $170,467 (L14) $188,349 (L18) $223,331 (L25) is comprised of:

  • A salary between

○ $84.71 – $87.36 per hr (L13 – L14)

○ $84.71 – $97.84 per hr (L13 – L18)

○ $97.84 – $117.00 per hr (L18 – L25)

  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
