Senior Actuarial Analyst/Manager – Pricing Job Details:

Our general insurance client is seeking senior actuarial analysts or newly qualified actuaries to join their team working on a range of pricing projects. This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

About the role

• Work on a range of pricing projects across pricing remediation and BAU pricing teams.
• Understand why a pricing promise was broken, and how could the premium calculations be altered to deliver on the pricing promise.
• Undertake analysis to calculate remediation/compensation amounts.
• Data preparation, actuarial analysis and modelling under the guidance of more senior actuaries.
• Respond to stakeholders’ ad hoc queries as required.
• Management information/performance reporting on the business.

About you

• Working towards qualification or qualified with the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent.
• 2-6 years’ experience in actuarial roles in the general insurance industry, with previous pricing experience desirable.
• Strong communication skills and able to work independently in a team environment.
• Good programming skills with SQL/SAS/R, etc.
