Reports To

Manager, Call Center

Job Purpose

The Call Center Representative’s role is to contact new and existing business owners to solicit the services of Payroc, generating sales leads for our sales team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to retail business using pre-approved script and objections
  • Make 250 outbound calls to retail business per day
  • Generate at least 6 leads per week
  • Check appointment distances to ensure travel times are feasible
  • Communicate with Outside Sales Rep to determine an area to prospect
  • Check Payroc Database to ensure future prospect isn’t already a client
  • Verify address and name of business before setting appointment to ensure accuracy
  • Remove business that request to be removed from our database
  • Disposition calls accurately to potential prospects in our database
  • Ask questions to qualify a business prospect before setting appointment
  • Input accurate notes regarding appointment into the database

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, both written and verbal
  • Great active listening skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and rapport building skills
  • A patient and empathetic attitude
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
  • Computer literacy
  • Phone skills, including familiarity with complex or multi-line phone systems
  • In-depth knowledge of a company’s products and/or services
