We have an exciting opportunity for a Profit Protection Business Partner NSW, to support stores across iconic Australian retailers – Kmart and Target, to develop, coach & support State, Regional & Store teams to maximise EBIT through the implementation of Profit Protection strategies/programs.

What you’ll be doing

As a Profit Protection Business Partner working for Kmart Group (Kmart & Target) you will:

  • Identifying, leading, and promoting best practice operational initiatives to reduce shrink
  • Driving focus, leadership and direction in the reduction of shrinkage across the business
  • Supporting the Retail operations team in identifying process gaps that lead to shrinkage
  • Leading the Integration of compliance into all business practices
  • Utilise weekly and monthly shrinkage data to identify trends
  • Analysing audits, health checks and records of loss, shrinkage, poor compliance and other relevant areas of profit erosion to identify trends, communicate findings and provide solutions to relevant stakeholders
  • Engaging, influencing and supporting key stakeholders to reduce causes of shrinkage and profit erosion
  • Educating and Developing Regional & store team training and awareness of compliance
  • Engaging with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues and set future plans to prevent repetition of issues, including making recommendations based on data, investigations and critical incidents
  • Advising and influencing all areas of the business in the application of law, Profit Protection strategy and reduction strategies allowing informed business decision to be made.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Strong understanding of current and emerging profit protection threats and mitigations
  • Ability to influence across a range of stakeholders, internal & external
  • Ability to develop projects, policy, programs and systems
  • Experience of conducting internal investigations at an intermediate level
  • Sound understanding of retail business with a minimum of 5 years in a loss prevention role

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, have high attention to detail and a strong understanding of our customer. You will have the ability to take ownership of tasks, build strong working relationships to achieve objectives and provide sound reasoning and decision quality.

This role would suit a driven individual who excels in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Someone who suggests creative ideas and innovative solutions by explores multiple alternatives and approaches to overcome obstacles and find solutions.
