The current vacancies are on our East ACRT which serves the Bentley, Armadale and Midland areas. If you are only interested in north or south metro regional areas, please apply and nominate your preferred location, and we will reach out to you when available vacancies arise.About the Acute Care & Response Team (ACRT):The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is set to transform its services in line with . The ACRT is a new service model, arising from the ICA Taskforce. The team will provide a step up in intensity of service to children and adolescents experiencing a crisis or deterioration in their mental health. This will include assessment, safety planning and short-term stabilisation, planning for ongoing care, and supplementary care for children with severe and enduring mental ill health to provide the care the child needs in a community setting reducing the need for hospital presentations. The East ACRT will provide a service to children and adolescents who live in the eastern region of the Perth metropolitan area.As mental health conditions can deeply impact the emotional and social well-being of children and their families, our holistic and child-centered approach is designed to assist families and is focused on participation and engagement.As a clinician on the team, you’ll be required to conduct home and community visits during business hours and on a rostered basis, including after hours and on weekends, based on operational needs. You’ll be part of a team that prioritises patient and staff safety and receive training and ongoing supervision.We are also seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Clinical Nurses to be part of the team.Here is some of the amazing work done by our teams in the Community:About the Role:We are seeking Senior Social Workers to join our team and provide community based mental health assessment and therapeutic intervention for children and young people, in collaboration with families / carers.As a Senior Social Worker, you will provide advanced services to young people experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges. You will plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate interventions for children and families. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals to complete initial assessments, treatment plans, and liaison with other services, such as local schools and other service providers.Experience in a community mental health setting is required.What you will bring:

  • Extensive social work experience in a community mental health setting and clinical experience working with children, adolescents and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability in the development of a new service
  • Ability to work collaboratively across internal and external teams, services and stakeholders

Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers is required. – Community CAMHS offers mental health assessment and multidisciplinary intervention for infants, children and young people up to the age of 18 years with severe and complex mental health concerns. – The Specialist Services and Day Programs consists of Complex Attention and Hyperactivity Disorder Service, Multisystemic Therapy, Pathways and Touchstone.
