GENERAL FARM HAND, MINGENEW WA Job Details:

An General Farm Hand is required for a family owned and run property, our client is a rural contractor operating broadacre crop spraying, fertiliser & lime sand spreading, grain, lime sand & fertiliser cartage, located near Mingenew in the Mid West region of Western Australia, about 110 km southeast of Geraldton and 370 km north of Perth CBD. A beautifully well maintained four bedroom home with a pool is provided, along with an attractive salary package. Our client will train in some areas as long as you are willing to learn, possess a good attitude and strong work ethic.

Good Things to Know:

• Location: Located close to Mingenew town centre, has a great sporting community and provide access to schools and daycare and shops
• Just over an hour to a larger city/town with access to shopping, medical facilities, hospital, etc
• Family owned and operated, team of 3

Machinery/Trucks:

• 2 x Kenworth multi combination road trains (36.5m) – network 7 configurations
• Mack truck with multi spreader
• 2 x Landcruiser with tow along boom sprays, GPS guidance & auto spray monitors
• Furukawa front end loader

Skills Required:

• Previous experience operating machinery
• Previous experience in a seeding, spraying and harvest operations
• Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude
• Be a team player along with the ability to work unsupervised
• Flexibility with seasonal work and work hours;
• Knowledge of Autosteer/GPS systems desirable (can provide training)

Desirable Skills:

• A current unrestricted MC Drivers licence
• Road train experience
• Have a clean driving record
• Mechanical knowledge is desirable
• Have Fitness to Drive, current Medical and Fatigue Management certificates

• Salary range: Attractive salary, negotiable, dependent on experience

• Hours: OFF-SEASON: 8 hours, 5 days a week; PEAK-SEASON: 12 hours, 6 – 7 days per week;
