Our client is a leading, diversified agri-food company based in Western Australia, with a strong focus on sustainability, animal welfare, and the highest quality standards. Role Overview

The company is looking for a highly skilled individual to join their team. This role requires an expert with a solid background in fitting, machining, and welding, particularly using TIG/MIG/MMA techniques with mild and stainless steel. Your main responsibility will be ensuring that plant operations are running smoothly by performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting breakdowns, and driving ongoing preventative measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fitting and machining tasks with an emphasis on precision and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Use welding techniques like TIG, MIG, and MMA to fabricate and weld mild steel and stainless steel parts.
• Follow the regular maintenance schedules using the Mex system to complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and repairs.
• Ensure the safety and functionality of electrical systems and installations throughout the plant.
• Act quickly when breakdowns occur, minimizing any disruptions to production and keeping operations on track.
• Participate in repair, upgrade, and improvement projects to boost the overall efficiency of the plant.
• Troubleshoot equipment-related problems, identifying the root causes and implementing solutions effectively.
• Lead preventative maintenance efforts to keep equipment and machinery in excellent working condition.
• Keep accurate records of machinery performance, repairs, and other operational data for analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify areas of improvement and implement process changes.
• Ensure the timely completion of tasks and projects by managing resources and setting clear priorities.
• Conduct equipment tests under the supervision of project engineers, documenting the results.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop, ensuring tools and equipment are always in good condition.
• Assemble and fit machined parts, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance.
• Regularly inspect machinery, addressing any issues by repairing or replacing worn-out parts.

Salary and Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $45–$50 per hour, with additional shift allowances.
• Work Schedule: A 7-day fortnight, with 42 hours per week across alternating 12-hour day and night shifts.
