This competition is to fill (1) Permanent position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Educational Consultant supports schools throughout Yukon with best instructional practices and curriculum and policy implementation. The position works collaboratively with colleagues to determine the most effective methods for achieving common educational goals.

Successful completion of six years of academic/professional training including possession of a Master’s Degree in Education
At least 6 years of recent experience as a teacher, administrator or education consultant in a K- 12 school environment.
Experience supporting students and teachers in numeracy development strategies; with particular strength in Kindergarten to grade 3.
Experience coaching, training, and mentoring school staff.
Experience incorporating First Nations cultures and traditions in curriculum, policy development and classroom instruction.
Education and training in Numeracy development (i.e Masters in Numeracy, professional development in numeracy development)
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
