Position Summary
Clinical Nurse Educator – Day Procedure Unit

  • Grade 4A, 0.6EFT
  • Flexibility of work across AM /PM shifts, Monday through to Friday, with the possibility of weekend work if required.

Based in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Education Training Unit within the Day Procedure Unit on a part time, ongoing basis.
With 7 operating suites in development and a 32 Bay Recovery, Latrobe Regional Health provides high level surgical procedures to support patients across the continuum.
The Clinical Educator of DPU is part of a team who are responsible for motivating the workforce in the delivery of excellence in clinical and professional standards. Utilising their professional experience and knowledge of health education in the DPU setting, they work with the leadership team to drive learning / teaching programs and projects that support Latrobe Regional Health’s clinical and strategic objectives.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Registered Nurse, Division 1 with post graduate certification in relevant field.
  • Min 5 years experience in Theatre / Surgical nursing
  • Experience in education / mentoring others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

Essential: Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board registration

Essential: Postgraduate Qualifications in relevant nursing speciality.
Essential: Current ALS / PALS certification
