About the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students)
The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) provides administrative support to key strategic and operational functions of the University’s student-related and academic services. About the Role
Flinders University is seeking an eager and motivated Flinders University Student to be the Administration Assistant (internally known as Learning and Teaching Innovation Administration Assistant). You will provide administrative support to teaching and student outreach, primarily for Flinders University domestic enabling programs.
Working collaboratively in a supportive and inclusive team, you will provide subject matter expertise, through your lived student experience, to student-facing programs and services. As the Administration Assistant you will also complete administrative tasks associated with the delivery of professional learning and teaching workshops and the provision of student and staff learning and teaching support.
You will also be responsible for:
Establishing positive working relationships with staff from across the Learning and Teaching portfolio and the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students) portfolio.
Maintaining processes and systems to ensure an effective and accessible electronic records management system of important files, in compliance with the University’s policies and procedures.
Assisting in the organisation of student support events, workshops, and initiatives, such as English for academic purposes, orientation and student celebration events.
Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be the key to your success as you build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be a dynamic and proactive individual, with great organisational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines when assisting with the provision of student and staff learning and teaching support. Your positive and passionate attitude in assisting academic staff and students, will be an asset to a vibrant and supportive team culture, as you all strive to achieve the same common goal.
The successful Learning and Teaching Innovation Administration Assistant:
Currently enrolled in a degree at Flinders University.
Demonstrated broad ranging administrative skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software and competency with web-based systems.
Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team and act under the direction of leadership to achieve program/section goals.
