The Delivery Source specializes in warehouse receiving and interior designer installation services. Our services include receiving, warehousing, storage, delivery, and installation of furniture and furnishings with a custom tailored white-glove approach. Primary Job Description:
- Strategically load Delivery Trucks with outgoing furniture and items.
- Drive delivery truck (16-20ft Box Truck) safely to destinations (No CDL Required)
- Safely unload and place items in locations identified by the client.
- Open, Inspect, Assemble and Install all items on site as directed by the client.
- Report any damages or flaws to furniture or items immediately upon inspection.
- Retrieve all waste products from installation site and process accordingly.
- Display courteous interaction and communication with the client to ensure proper placement of furniture, and to discuss details of job.
- Ensure cleanliness of truck interiors and perform basic vehicle maintenance as required.
- Provide all delivery paperwork to the Data Entry Clerk(s) and manager after the deliveries.
- Process waste products (i.e. packaging materials, cardboard, plastic, crates, pallets)
Secondary Functions:
- Assist the warehouse team in the movement, opening and inspecting of new incoming items.
- Special projects as they occur.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1-year experience as a driver and/or with furniture handling and assembly preferred
- Must have active, valid driver’s license with clean driving record (driving record will be checked)
- High school diploma/GED
- Able to perform assembly of items using common hand / power tools
- Able to safely operate 16-20ft Box Trucks.
- Excellent customer service skills
- High attention to detail to be able to identity flaws and imperfections upon inspection
- A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
- Excellent time management skills
- Reliable with good work ethic
- Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, and ability to multi-task
- Must be able to speak English
- Must have reliable transportation
- No CDL Required
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry furniture, boxes and other items that can weigh in excess of 100 lbs. for the majority of your work shift
- Ability to walk, stand, squat, climb stairs, bend, twist, reach, etc. frequently for the majority of your work shift
- Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business.
- Ability to physically withstand varying climate conditions while on duty, including extreme heat
Job Type: Part-time or Temp
Schedule: Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Flexible choice of days for part-time. Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays are most needed for part-time. On occasion, additional work hours/days may be available, including Saturdays, as well as opportunities for overtime.
