Visitor Services Coordinator Job Details:
This is to fill a full-time casual position working 75 hours bi-weekly, for a period of six months less 2days. This position will be available in either Dawson or Whitehorse.Visitor Service CoordinatorYukon Parks plays a big role in protecting Yukon’s environment, cultural heritage and ongoing traditional use by First Nations and Inuvialuit. Parks protect large landscapes to ensure ecosystems and natural processes continue unimpaired for future generations. Parks also help protect natural and cultural values by focusing recreational use where it is most appropriate and actively managing its impacts.The opportunityThis position is responsible for receiving and reviewing applications for permits and licenses of commercial operators, park users and clients. - Experience in providing client service in a high-volume environment.
- Experience providing a wide variety of administrative support services including reception, collecting, and processing financial transactions, e.g. invoicing, and taking payments (debit/credit card, cash), reconciling daily transactions.
- Experience using Microsoft software, specifically Word and Excel for work processing and data entry.
- Experience performing client service duties in a regulatory, licensing and/or permitting environment would be considered an asset.
Candidates who have post-secondary coursework in office or business administration, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.Desired Knowledge, Skills, and SuitabilityCandidates should have and may be assessed on:
