Technical Editor And Proposal Assistant Job Details:
Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH) is growing! We are seeking a talented Technical Editor and Proposal Assistant to join our dynamic Aerostar Environmental and Construction team, a subsidiary of BBCH. In this role you will support in preparing client deliverables and proposals for environmental compliance and restoration projects.
The position will be based in Oak Ridge, TN.
Responsibilities:
- Editing, revising, and rewriting a variety of technical environmental documents, presentations, and proposals in collaboration with technical staff• Ensuring technical documents are consistent with company standards• Establishing and tracking assignments with due dates• Collecting responses and content, maintain document and version control and compile the final work product for the team to review• Reviewing proposal and report content to ensure compliance with clients’ stated goals and needs
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, or related field• Five years of proven experience in providing technical writing and proposal services• Knowledge of writing and editing standards and practices• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and spelling• Attention to detail and eye for accuracy and quality• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work as a team member• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required)• Ability to balance multiple competing priorities, meet deadlines, and be responsive and thrive in a team environment• Demonstrated familiarity with capture planning, proposal development, and proposal management in all aspects of developing winning SF330 proposals• Knowledge of the Shipley Proposal Lifecycle process requirements• As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.Physical RequirementsEssential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. Near visual acuity to review documentation, ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times.
