SENIOR FARM HAND, PINGRUP WA Job Details:

Our client, a large broadacre and sheep farmer, is looking for an experienced Senior Farm Hand to join their family owned operation in the Great Southern Region of WA. You will be joining a team of 5 permanent staff, with a progressive, forward thinking employer, who places a strong focus on team building and employee satisfaction. Join a competent team, that will give you room to grow.

Good Things to Know:

• Large family owned and operated broadacre and sheep enterprise
• Progressive employer, with a focus on employee growth – team building days etc
• Flexibility to build the role based on your preferences around stock/machinery operating
• Team of 6 – Farmer and 5 permanent staff, plus seasonal casuals
• 2 hrs drive to Albany, 4 hours to Perth

About the Role:

• Senior Farm Hand
• Flexible role adaptable to your skill set/preferences

• Stock work – assisting in all aspects of stock work relating to sheep
• Cropping – assisting with seeding, harvest and cultivation
• Truck Driving
• Mechanical machinery maintenance and repairs
• General farm duties as required

About you:

• You will have extensive experience with either stock or cropping
• Be flexible to help with stock/cropping work during busy seasons
• Mechanically minded – ability to service, maintain, troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs
• Desiralble:

• Broadacre experience
• MC Licence with medical & fatigue managment certificate
• Auschem/Chem Cert
• Strong mechanical background
• Start date: Feb 2023 – Flexibility to bring this forward for the right candidate
• Work hours: 10 hour days
