As a Senior Content Marketing Specialist, you’ll lead the marketing communications strategy for Cognex’s fast-growing barcode reading product line. You’ll work with product marketing and sales to develop commercialization strategies and communicate Cognex’s value proposition by creating engaging product content and marketing campaign materials. The ideal person for this role is a curious, self-motivated person who enjoys learning, conceptualizing customer-focused content, and keeping up with the latest global marketing trends.
The Responsibilities
- Write creative content across a variety of media, including web pages, product guides, white papers, interactive tools, customer stories, videos, emails and much more to build awareness, demand generation, and lead-nurturing programs
- Partner with the Product Management Team to understand the product roadmap, develop the roll-out strategy, and establish key messaging to support the launch of new products and technologies
- Produce customer-focused messaging that effectively communicates product benefits and capabilities
- Collaborate with a cross-functional (media and design, web marketing) to optimize content
- Meet and partner with international teams to align on content strategy and execution
- Propose and test new marketing campaigns designed to increase awareness and sales funnel results
- Monitor lead generation and campaign results to report back to the team and adjust strategies as needed

- Ability to understand and transform technical information into concise and compelling marketing messaging
- Creative writer who understands how to craft content that moves leads through the sales funnel
- Strong project management skills—you know how to track and follow up on important details while keeping an eye on the big picture
- Ability to think quickly, multi-task in a fast-paced setting and stay cool under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills—be the person you want to work with
- Integrated marketing campaign development experience, a plus
- Experience working with international teams, a plus
- Automation industry experience, a plus
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience writing dynamic content, managing projects, and working on cross-functional teams
- Experience launching products in a B2B environment
