THE OPPORTUNITY
You will oversee the month end close process, preparing financial statement, performing account reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger. You will help to set the standard and continually reinforce integrity for our customers and our employees. Working autonomously, you will also:
- Responsible for the management of the general ledger through month and year end close
- Lead month end and year end close process
- Produce financial statements for review by the Controller
- Reconciling subledger to general ledger account balances
- Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analyses
- Support the budgeting process and related projects
- Bank reconciliations on multiple accounts
- Supervise accounting staff
- Learn each area of the business to unlock new analytical insights to drive operational performance
- Create internal materials for senior leadership and the executive board that examine current and future business trends, capital market trends, the financial impact and logic for possible strategic alternatives, and other data as needed.
- Access and compile raw data to identify and document trends and provide explanation and understanding of performance.
- Work independently and contribute to business-related activities as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
We need someone who is always learning new things. a person with intellectual curiosity who keeps up with the latest developments in their field by taking advantage of educational opportunities, reading specialized literature, maintaining personal networks, and joining professional organizations.
You should also have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of related accounting experience.
- CPA Preferred
- Experience with Sage Intacct is preferred
- Experience with ServiceTitan is a plus but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment drug screening
