To be successful for this role you will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute hospital setting (min 1 year of acute experience)
  • Possess excellent clinical Skills.
  • A commitment to high quality, safe person-centred care.
  • A Postgraduate in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing is highly desirable.

The Western Health Rapid Assessment Discharge Unit (RADU) is a 28 bed inpatient ward within the Division of Emergency, Medicine and Access. The key objective of the unit is to safely discharge patients within 48-72 hours of their hospital admission. This aims to improve patient outcomes and provide the best care by minimising inpatient length of stay and improve access and flow for Western Health.

To be Successful in this Role, you will:

  • Be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in emergency or acute medical nursing
  • Have a passion for the fast-paced acute inpatient environment
  • Be experienced and motivated to work closely with a multidisciplinary team
  • Have a willingness and ability to do rotational shifts 7 days a week

Permanent Full Time / Part Time Positions available

Responding to the evolving demands of Melbourne’s Western region, Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department (SHED) has undergone recent expansion. The upgraded department includes renovated treatment areas for both adults and children, a new triage zone, resuscitation area, and advanced medical imaging suite. As a mixed urban district ED, SHED provides a comprehensive care for adults.
