Job Title: Quality Summer Student

Location: 100 Milverton Rd, Mississauga Office

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Contract: May 6th, 2024 to August 30th, 2024

Compensation will be determined based on the number of credits completed at time of offer. Should additional credits be received during employment you may submit this to your manager for salary adjustment.

Job Purpose

This position is accountable for providing quality support to the Quality Canada (LOC) Pharma Team, primarily related to quality compliance activities in line with Health Canada GMP regulations and GSK standards. This includes document review, archiving, trending and management of pharmaceutical manufacturing documents.

The Quality LOC Canada Pharma team oversees all aspects of Good Manufacturing Practices for imported and distributed human pharmaceutical and vaccine products in Canada for GSK and ViiV.

Details (Your Responsibilities):

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to learn about marketing and participate in key activities to progress your career; these responsibilities include, but not limited to the following…

• Review executed batch production records
• Archive documentation as per retention policies
• Assist with trending reports, tracking performance for QA team
• Liaise with manufacturing sites to request quality documents and review materials
• Support quality improvement projects, as well as other special projects and initiatives or tasks

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills:

• Enrolled in Bachelors of Science or Engineering

• Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology/Microbiology, Pharmacy, or similar.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong Organizational skills
• Ability to work within a team as well as independently with minimal direction
• Ability to follow procedures as written with no deviation
• Reliable
• Proficiency with PowerPoint & excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluency in French (written and spoken) is a great asset.
• Interest in the pharmaceutical industry.
