Our client is a family owned food distribution service, Established for over 30 years, who are the leading independent foodservice provider servicing the South Coast, Far South Coast, Southern Highlands and Sydney regions. They are now seeking General Hands to support their operations in South Nowra. Working as part of a team, you will be preparing large milk orders for delivery to restaurants, cafes, takeaway food establishments and more. A high attention to detail to ensure these businesses can maintain maximum operation through out the day is vital. In addition, this is a physical role which involved consistent moving of milk crates by hand, and by assistance thought electric jacks. This role is perfect for someone who is looking at an entry level warehouse position, young, fit people are encouraged to apply!

As an essential part of the team, you will work the Afternoon Shift which is 2pm – 10pm with a starting rate of $33.71, which will increase incrementally at 3 months and 12 months.

Your day-to-day work will cover:

• Receiving deliveries and assisting with unloading trucks
• Picking and packing milk orders ready for delivery
• Pick/pack orders and load trucks for distribution
• Identifying stock required to be replenished
• Preparation work in assist the next on coming shift

To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate your:

• Ability to communicate and work as part of a team, navigating a busy warehouse
• Open to working in cold environments (PPE provided)
• Proactive approach, ability to identify needs of the warehouse
