Outpatient Dietitian Job Details:

The Outpatient Dietitian position in Vernon Hills, IL, US is focused on helping clients meet their health and wellness goals. They assess clients’ nutritional requirements, dietary restrictions, and overall health status. Moreover, they track progress and manage meal plans. Furthermore, they instruct clients on healthy eating habits.

Responsibilities:

• Develop personalized meal plans and nutrition goals for clients
• Monitor progress of clients and adjust meal plans as needed
• Provide nutrition education to clients and family members
• Keep record of activities and progress in Electronic Medical Record system
• Liaise with other healthcare professionals when necessary
• Maintain Illinois state license by engaging in ongoing education
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or a related field (Required)
• Possession of an Illinois Registered Dietitian License (Required)
• Prior work experience with Eating Disorders (preferred)
• Previous exposure to working with children and adolescents (preferred)
• Kind and caring attitude
• Capacity to create a bond with clients
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and be reliable

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in nutrition or a related discipline (Mandatory)
• Hold a valid Illinois Dietitian License (Mandatory)
• Background in working with patients with Eating Disorders (Desirable)
• Experience in working with children and adolescents (Desirable)
• Have an affable and considerate demeanor
• Be able to build a strong relationship with clients
• Show outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Be highly organized and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
