The Role:
The Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED) is rapidly growing since its conception as a pilot project in October 2020. As part of this project, Northern Health is expanding the scope of our Nurse Practitioner model to include provision of service via our VVED model of care. The opportunity to work in and contribute to the development of the VVED service is another opportunity to extend your Nurse Practitioner scope of practice and can also offer opportunities for publication for those applicants who may be interested.
Therefore, we are looking for additional Nurse Practitioners to join our team with the following specialisations:
General Emergency
Paediatric Care
Aged Care and Palliative Care
You will be supported by a motivated, dynamic senior leadership team as well as be able to participate in regular study and mentorship opportunities facilitated by our senior Medical staff.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner (Emergency Nursing)
Previous experience and knowledge in a diverse range of emergency conditions
Demonstrated confidence and independence with Adult and Paediatric assessment
Previous experience working in Aged Care and Palliative care or willingness to upskill in this space – Training available
Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development
Evidence of commitment to quality improvement
