Materials Coordinator -I Job Details:

SUMMARY: Plan and schedule material and production orders that come in through ADS and material requests. Assist in stockroom.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

Confer with production personnel, engineering, materials, production mangers, and customer service to resolve problems affecting production schedules and status of assignments and projects.

Work with Marketing and Engineering as planning liaison.

Act as customer service point of contact for providing commit dates for production orders not captured by the system as a standard.

Confer with materials department to determine overdue materials and parts, and to inform production supervisor of material status.

Check material availability for lead time quotes and production scheduling.

Print WO as required for issue of materials from stockroom and for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of product for Accelerated Deliver Schedule (ADS).

Maintain Excel spreadsheet with information necessary to track and measure time spent quoting lead time.

Process RGAs.

Maintain files of documents used and prepared.

Review and expedite shortage reports daily.

Schedule production work orders based on Master Schedule Report.

Provide backup support for the stockroom as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires knowledge typically acquired through:

Completion of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED),

A minimum of six months to three years of related experience or training.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, employees, and clients.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
