LEADING FARM HAND, HYDEN WA Job Details:

This unique opportunity as a Leading Hand, has become available in the Hyden Region. This role is the perfect stepping stone for either an experienced Farm Hand, or a Senior Farm Hand, looking to gain experience in Manager role. This is a hands on role, that will require you to carry out the day to day duties on the farm, and then manage seasonal casuals during seeding and harvest seasons. This role aims to be a short-medium term role, while the property is on the market. Therefore to make it worth your while, the farmer has offered three months wages as a bonus, once the property is sold.

Short-Medium Term, Full Time Role
Property is for sale, with expected sale time to be 1-2 years
Three months wages bonus provided at once property sale complete
6000ha property, 5000ha cropping, 2000 head sheep (to be reduced to half)
New Machinery: New Holland & John Deer tractors and headers, Hardie boom Spray, Coolamon Chaser, Morris Seeder.

About the Role:

Overseeing the farms cropping and sheep activities
Machinery Operating: Air Seeder, Sprayer, Harvester,
Machinery & farm maintenance
Managing seasonal casuals

About you:

Experience with operating cropping machinery and a solid understanding of the agronomy side of things (or the desire to learn)
Personnel and Management Skills (seasonal casuals)
Ability to run a profitable operation
Desirable: Sheep management skills

Whats on offer:

Utilities: $500 towards power each billing cycle

Bonus at sale of property = 3 months wages
