Au sein de ce réseau, vous serez appelé à jouer un rôle de premier plan dans le soutien des continuums et trajectoires de soins pour les clients au sein d’établissements ayant reçu des mentions d’honneur et reconnus à travers le monde pour la qualité des soins et la recherche. Description du poste

LIBÉLLÉ
Person in a home, residence, group home or other similar facility who is responsible for a range of tasks aimed at accompanying and supporting the beneficiary and her/his family or at compensating for her/his disabilities in performing daily living activities or domestic tasks. Must also work at fostering the beneficiary’s integration and socialization in individual and community activities.

In the performance of her/his duties, sees to beneficiaries’ hygiene, well-being and comfort and meets their general needs. May be required to install certain devices or to provide more specific forms of care for which she/he has been trained. May also be required to prepare meals or perform domestic tasks.

Reports her/his observations regarding the needs of the beneficiary and family to the persons in charge and team members. In collaboration with other workers, helps identify the needs of the beneficiary, develop a service or intervention plan and implement such plan.

Reporting to the Perinatal and Child-Family Program Manager, the Health and Social Services Auxiliary, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, works in the home with families or individuals. The auxiliary aims to maintain or develop optimal functioning in the face of problem situations, including mental health issues.

• Participates in identifying client needs;
• Participates in case discussions and reassessments;
• Promotes healthy habits in terms of hygiene and balanced meals;
• Provides hygiene care in support of certain parents;
• Performs domestic tasks with parents to help them acquire habits, maintenance methods, meal planning and execution, and organization of domestic life;
• Performs family chores and light housework as needed;
• Promotes parenting skills;
• Participates in the resolution of any crisis situation that may arise in the family;
• Provides temporary assistance in the care and education of children;
• Babysits children to enable parents to participate in support, therapy or respite groups;
• Informs the client of resources that can help the family overcome social isolation;
• Contributes to the protection and development of the child’s physical and mental health;
• Ensures the safety of the premises and suggests technical aids, if necessary;
• Accompanies beneficiaries to medical appointments or on trips for socialization or rehabilitation purposes;
• Refers clients to community groups or other facilities that can help solve their problems;
• Encourages participation of the natural environment;
• Supports clients by active listening and emphasizing positive aspects;
• Observes and communicates observations on clients’ lifestyle habits, behaviours and attitudes to the primary caregiver;
• Adheres to professional and institutional codes of ethics, confidentiality and record-keeping;
• Provides information for the production of statistics and observation notes;
• Supervises trainees;
• Applies the 2008-2018 perinatal policy;
• In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, participates in the development and evaluation of intervention plans;
• Performs any other related duties as requested by immediate supervisor.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Hold at least a vocational diploma in home care or a diploma such as préposé aux bénéficiaires or other related training in early childhood, or hold a comparative evaluation of studies completed outside Quebec issued by the Ministère d’immigration.

Exigences requises

EXIGENCES ACADÉMIQUES

Détenir au minimum un diplôme d’études professionnelles : en assistance à la personne à domicile ou avoir le diplôme comme le préposé aux bénéficiaires ou autres formation connexe en petite enfance ou détenir une évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec émise par le Ministère d’immigration.

CONNAISSANCES ET EXPÉRIENCE

• Avoir une expérience pertinente et une bonne connaissance spécifiques à la petite-enfance est considéré comme un atout;
• Bilinguisme (français et anglais);
