Position: Head Butcher

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, oversee, and evaluate wholesale and retail operations.
• Empower and lead team members, effectively delegating tasks.
• Analyze market trends to gauge consumer demand and sales potential.
• Enhance customer service while collaborating with peers.
• Develop pricing strategies and credit policies.
• Support setup and growth of new and underperforming stores.
• Contribute to product development and enhancements.
• Drive financial planning and authorize expenditures.
• Address customer concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Manage staffing needs and oversee hiring.
• Drive operational excellence in meat plant activities.
• Educate and implement sustainable farming methods.
• Supervise curing, cooking, and smoking of retail offerings.
• Innovate and refine various recipes.
• Lead implementation of current and new systems.

Employment Requirements:

• 5-7 years in butchery or related field, showcasing expertise in cuts, preparation techniques, and meat handling.
• Proven leadership skills, fostering positive team culture and task delegation.
• Proficiency in meat cuts, cooking methods, and innovative recipe development.
• Strong communication for personalized customer interactions and addressing inquiries.
• Understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and profitability strategies.
• Analytical skills to troubleshoot challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Adaptability to embrace industry trends and changes.
• Physical stamina for demanding tasks.
• Relevant certifications like Food Handler or MSAP preferred.
• High school diploma required; relevant degree or diploma a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written skills for effective interaction.
