Primo Foods are seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator / Facilities Trades Assistant to join the Facilities team in Wacol, Brisbane. This role is responsible for efficient and compliant operation of the wastewater treatment plants.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Communicate plant issues to the Facilities Supervisor.
• Operation and maintenance of the plants including routine tasks, preventive tasks, fault diagnosis and repair.
• Monitor and respond to plant issues including SCADA alarms and performance trends.
• Monitor plants process and make necessary adjustments in conjunction with the Facility Supervisor.
• Ensure that operational performance targets of the water treatment plants are efficiently achieved to ensure high quality safe drinking water production.
• Perform general housekeeping of plant, equipment, buildings, structures, and surrounds.

About you:

• Current Forklift Licence
• Previous experience within the water treatment industry is advantageous.
• Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Basic problem solving and diagnostics.
• Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Proactive and positive attitude
