About the role
Due to an internal promotion, we are pleased to offer a new opportunity for a Specialist in Risk and Assurance.
You will be a key player in ensuring compliance with CBH’s Integrated Management System (“IMS”) and Quality Certification standards as well as provision of support in the maintenance of CBH’s Risk Management Framework. Based at our CBH Head Office, you’ll also travel to operational sites in WA for scheduled audits.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the realisation of CBH Group’s strategic objectives through risk and assurance support.
Actively contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the Group’s IMS assurance plan and Quality Certification plan.
Conduct audits and follow-ups for CBH, examining systems, processes, and operational activities within the network.
Coordinate IMS effectiveness reviews and present key findings to Management/Board.
Improve IMS assurance activities for ongoing relevance and value to the business.
Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to the standards such as ISO9001, 140001, HACCP, ISCC, FEMAS, Heavy Vehicle Accreditations etc.
Facilitate the smooth execution of certification audits conducted by external bodies by coordinating the entire audit process.
Conduct audits related to Maritime Security.
Collaborate with CBH stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective adherence to certifications and management systems compliance.
Collaborate with the Manager – Group Risk, Quality & Assurance to enhance the Enterprise Risk Management framework.
To excel in this role, we are looking for someone who brings:
Experience in an HSE Systems or related role for a minimum of 5 years.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining Quality Management Systems, including ISO9001, ISO14001, and HACCP.
Proven experience in conducting external or internal audits.
Self-driven individual with a passion for driving improvement in risk reduction through analytical and structured approaches.
Demonstrated strong organisational and planning abilities.
Proficient in managing cross-functional process issues and expediting resolutions.
Highly developed verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Demonstrated capability in facilitating both meetings and workshops.
Highly proficient in MS Office Suite of products
The following qualifications and experience would be beneficial to the role:
A degree or diploma in a Commerce/Business-related discipline, External Auditing, Internal Auditing, Risk Management, or Occupational Health and Safety.
Qualified as a Lead Auditor or possesses internal/external auditing certifications including ISO 9001/14001, ISO31000:2018, HACCP and/or AS 4801/45000
Experience in food safety, rail safety, heavy vehicle, maritime security, and dangerous goods.
Experience in heavy industry.
