Your Role
As our Café Chef, you will:
- Plan and create seasonal menus, while managing food and labor costs effectively.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to perfection and presented beautifully.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to solve food preparation and service issues.
- Lead by example by demonstrating proper cooking techniques and mentoring the team.
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen while following strict food safety and hygiene standards.
- Help with food preservation and freezing to keep food fresh and high quality.
What We’re Looking For
We need someone who is:
- Experienced, with at least 2 years working as a chef in a busy environment.
- Holding or working towards a New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (preferably).
- A reliable, positive, and team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting.
- Passionate about food and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality.
