About the role

The Workplace Experience Audio Visual Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of audio-visual equipment including set up, install, inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Ensures that all confirmed audio visual requests are set up, tested, ready for use prior to all meetings.

Ensures all rooms and cables are neatly tucked away to avoid any tripping hazards and to ensure the overall meeting room aesthetic are up to standard.

Host uses people-led services to connect colleagues to their environment through high-touch services and world-class customer service support.

What you’ll do

Demonstrates leadership and customer service that reflects a warm, friendly, professional greeting to all colleagues and visitors. Proactively engages and introduces themselves throughout the workplace.

Maintains Audio Visual equipment including display devices, projectors, televisions, Video End Points, microphones, and speakers.

How to start and present within Teams, WebEx, Zoom and other systems.

Set up and pack conference room; up to 300 chairs and tables.

Provides excellent equipment services to meet client expectations.

Learns everything there is to know about the in-house AV equipment to provide excellent customer service and troubleshooting.

Responsible for cord management & safe set up.

Sets up and operates integrated and portable AV equipment for trainings, presentations, meetings, and conferences.

Identifies and resolves equipment malfunctions.

Tests AV equipment to ensure they are in good and safe working conditions.

Assist customers with handheld and lavalier microphones and instructs customers how to properly use the microphones for the best audio quality.

Prioritizes and complete work orders accurately and timely.

Provides technical assistance to other Technicians when required.

Maintains the storerooms clean, safe, and organized.

Sets up and operates audio mixers for live sound events.

Maintains all in-room AV cables such as, HDMI, Audio and Data and replace when damaged.

Operates a Crestron touch panel to control integrated AV equipment.

Helps customer start WebEx meetings when requested.

Enhanced knowledge on how to start a Microsoft Power Point presentation.

Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of 1 – 2 years of audio-visual experience.

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people.

Warm and engaging demeanor. Ability to assess circumstances, empathize and offer help.

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

Basic knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products). Familiar with a variety of file types such as TIFF, JPEG, PDF, MS Word, and Excel. Ability to work handheld mobile technologies and applications.

Ability to work in multiple software platforms and learn and retain technical software applications quickly.

Good organizational skills. Must work well under pressure with multiple deadlines and demonstrate a proactive approach to routine and non-routine occurrences.

Ability to work flexible work schedules based on business need.

May need to be physically able to lift and move 30-40 boxes and operate a two-wheel dolly. Physical ability to assist with document services operations. Able to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to lift chairs and tables for conference room set up and tear down.

Strong problem-solving skills. Highly adaptable and flexible.

Ability to work independently with little supervision.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
