What you’ll do

• Negotiating commercials with suppliers around cost of goods, promotional & marketing funding
• Manage key strategic Initiatives, as well as deliver targets on sales growth, profitability and market share.
• Partner with a large number of internal and external stakeholders working cross functionally across the business
• Deliver optimum ranges via a planned review schedule, offering choice that is store tailored, reflective of the category roles, incorporates changing customer trends and utilises focused customer insight
• Further developing our strategic supplier relationships through effective communication and negotiation

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience in Buying or exposure to commercial buying
• Demonstrated the ability to negotiate and influence with cross functional and external stakeholders with an emphasis on promotional strategy, executing reviews, bringing new products to market
• Sound commercial acumen and demonstrated ability in increasing sales and profit through implementation of strategic program initiatives
• The ability to use customer insights and data to make strategic & commercial business decisions
