Job Description:

Assemble products by reading assembly instructions, blueprint specs and Bills of Materials; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or taking measurements.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Train fellow co-workers as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Required:

  • United States Citizen or Permanent Resident is required.
  • HS degree, or technical Trade School Certificate.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environments.
  • Strong basic communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings that detail product specification.
  • Hand-on Capacity a must, knowledge of tools.
  • Organizational skills a must.
  • Teamwork.
  • Physical Stamina.
  • Ability to troubleshoot/problem solve.
  • Good judgement and decision making.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop; kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust and focus.
