The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a driven individual to provide general labouring, maintenance and repair services for BVSC’s built and natural environment assets.

As Works Primary Labourer, you will perform general labouring duties necessary to carry out minor construction, maintenance and cleaning of BVSC assets. You will perform general landscape and streetscape maintenance and cleaning as well as perform specified routine and corrective maintenance on equipment used and maintain in a clean and tidy condition.

About You

We are seeking two (2) individuals who holds a SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card) and has developed skills in the operation and maintenance of various hand tools and specialised equipment e.g. chainsaws, jackhammers, whipper snippers and mowers.

You will have the following skills and experience;

• Experience in tasks associated with general labouring including (but not limited to); cleaning, minor construction works which may include concreting, carpentry, excavation, paving, fencing etc. and landscape maintenance activities.
• Basic ability to read plans and schedules.
• Basic written and developed verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and basic skills in the use of Microsoft software packages including Word and Excel.

Benefits

These are permanent full-time positions working 38 hours per week located in Bega & Bermagui.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $61,870.12 gross per annum, comprising of:

• $1017.90 per week base salary
• $117.91 per week superannuation (calculated at 11%)
